Local Beaches

If you don't feel like exploring, there are plenty of local beaches to suit everyone's taste. Beaches at or near Puerto de Mazarron are busier (by Mazarrón standards) but are close to shops, bars, and restaurants. Those further out are quieter and can be very private giving some the opportunity of an all over tan.

Bolnuevo

Bolnuevo

The famous wind eroded rocks of Bolnuevo lie opposite this vast beach where the elements have managed to create unique sculptures. Bolnuevo is a beautiful long beach of golden sand streching over 1.5km with many services and ammenities around. There are many bars and restaurants nearby as well as plenty of parking and easy access. Sports and recreational amenities are available.

Los Perchelles

Los Perchelles

A beautiful cove with no facilities. Directions: Take the road from the roundabout at the end of the RM3 for Aguilas, and after a few miles see a turning left for Canadas de Gallego. Go through Canadas de Gallego, and the road for Perchelles bears to the left. Stay on what seems to be the most significant road through tomato plantations. After a slight hill at the brow the road turns to gravel. A few yards further and you are in the car park.

Puerto de Mazarrón

Puerto de Mazarrón

Puerto de Mazarrón lies around a wide bay and is framed by the foothills of the Almenara Mountains. It has a good sandy beach offering a variety of water sports including scuba diving as well as conveniently located shops, bars and restaurants.

La Azohia
